How to clean those wax spills!

1: Wax on a candle holder

To remove wax from a candle holder or tray pop it in the fridge for about thirty minutes. Once the holder is cold, remove and tap it gently with a spoon to remove the wax.

2: Wax on a carpet

To remove wax on a carpet, place a paper bag over the wax, then use a iron on a low heat setting to run over the bag on the waxy spot. The paper will then absorb the wax, and you can simply lift away.

3: Wax on wood or a hard surface

If you spill wax on wood or a hard surface such as a table, use a blow dryer on a very low heat over the waxy spot, and then wipe away with a soft cloth.

4: Wax on fabric

To remove wax from fabrics, place the item in a fridge for about 30 minutes, then remove and scrape off the cold wax. If you spill wax on large items such as pillows that are too big to place in a fridge, apply a cold bag of ice for a period of time to the spill area and then scrape off.

5: Remove any residue stains

For hard non-porous surfaces, use a mix of 2 parts water one part vinegar and gently dab the stain away with a moist cloth. For clothing, a regular hot wash should be sufficient for removing any stains once the wax has been removed.
